After directing Shivaay, Ajay Devgn is all set to come up with his next directorial film titled 'MayDay'. Ajay Devgn had announced this project earlier in November and had roped in megastar Amitabh Bachchan to play the lead role in the film. And now we have got a recent update regarding the cast.

Reportedly, Rakul Preet Singh will be reuniting with De De Pyaar De co-star as she has joined the cast of thriller drama Mayday. And guess what, Ajay Devgn will also be acting in this big film. Rakul will be seen in a different avatar as the actress has assigned the role of a pilot in the film. Talking about the same, Rakul had earlier said in a statement, "I have worked with Ajay sir in the past and extremely thrilled to be working with him yet again as his co-pilot in a film where he is not just my co-star but director too. When I decided to be an actor like all the other aspiring actors I had a dream to work with Mr Bachchan and I am so glad that with this film my dream to share screen space with him will come true."

Spilling some more beans on the film, a media source revealed, "This will be Rakul's second outing with Ajay Devgn after De De Pyaar De [2019]. The film is inspired by a real-life episode, which has been further dramatised for the screen. Come December, Ajay plans to shoot it in Hyderabad over a start-to-finish schedule."

This drama will be Bachchan and Ajay's reunion on the big screen after 13 long years. Produced by Ajay Devgn, the film is all set to go on floors in December this year and Rakul will soon be joining the team for the shoot in Hyderabad.
