Celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had a small but noticeable falling out after the premiere of "A Mighty Heart" in Cannes.

The problem seems to be that Jolie wants to buy a house outside the US but her partner is not interested, reports dailysnack.com.

An insider said: "After a low key dinner with Jolie's co-stars, she and Pitt retired to the tranquil Le Bellini Bar area, by the entrance of the Hotel Du Cap. But after only five minutes or so, the atmosphere between them seemed to change.

"Jolie explained to Pitt she thought they should buy a house in Monte Carlo, but he was not at all happy about it. He said he was 'tired' of all this jet setting around and just wants some time to stay in the States.

"As soon as he had made his point, he headed off to bed and left her alone before she got chatting to a couple of producers. It all seemed a tad uncomfortable to say the least."

The couple own houses in the Hollywood Hills, Cambodia and Oxfordshire.

In a recent interview to Readers' Digest magazine, Jolie indicated she and Pitt could be having some problems.
