The trend of singing cover versions has provided the luxury to the out of work singers, to get some opportunity of singing. UMI-10 is one of the many cover versions prevailing in the market the album caught attention because of the sensuous video.

Asha Bhonsle`s Koi Sehri Babu is not so well `covered` by Shashwati. The music video more than makes up for the weak execution. Manoj Samant does a fairly god job in Aate Jaate Khubsurat from the film Anurodh. The better ones sung in the album are Afsana Likh Rahi Hoon by Shashwati and Ni Sultana Re Pyar Ka Mausam Ayaa except Shashwati`s off key crooning.

The unique quality present in Raj Kapoor`s Dil Ka Haal Sune Dilwala is lost and the song ends up sound like some Sadak Chhaap Gaana. The mellifluous Do Lafzon Ki Hai is an instant hit, perhaps this could be another sensuous music video.

Another of Laxmikant-Pyarelal classic Ik Pyar Ka Nagma Hai adds up to the soothing experience, Parineeta sings a Lata aria but the singer tends to resemble Sapna Mukherjee. The other original numbers like Hai Hai Sharmau, Bhor Bhaye Panghat and Kal Ki Haseen Mulaqat are certified good numbers but are exterminated due to poor singing. If you can tolerate bad singing and enjoy good orchestration UMI-10 is for you.
