Bhumi Pednekar's horror-thriller Durgavati gets a new title

Bhumi Pednekar has been playing her best to establish herself deeply in the film industry as her last film 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' with Kartik Aaryan was a hit. The actress will next be seen in 'Durgamati', her upcoming horror thriller which is a remake of the south film Bhaagamathie. We have got a recent update on the film where it is learned that the title of the film which was earlier 'Durgavati', now it has been changed to 'Durgamati'.

The film is directed by G Ashok who director the original film 'Bhaagamathie'. Akshay Kumar, who happens to be one of the producers of the film, shared the new poster along with the new title. He took it to Instagram to share the news and wrote," Are you ready?. Meet #DurgamatiOnPrime on Dec 11, @PrimeVideoIN." Check out the poster here -

The team has wrapped the shooting and is all set to release on 11 December on Amazon Prime. Durgamati is a horror-thriller that will feature Bhumi Pednekar as an IAS officer. The story revolves around an IAS officer, who is imprisoned in a haunted house for interrogation. However, things take an unexpected turn when she gets possessed by a spirit.

Mahie Gill has also been roped in the film to play the of a cop who is working on a case involving Bhumi's character. It also stars Arshad Varsi in a pivotal role.
