Dhanush's acting chops were appreciated in Anand L Rai's Raanjhanaa where he played the role of small-town boy Kundan. Now with Anand's next venture 'Atrangi Re', Dhanush will be seen again portraying a similar role opposite Sara Ali Khan. Sara and Dhanush have already finished Varanasi's schedule before the lockdown and now, the actor is shooting for the final schedule in Delhi. Dhanush is also rendering a song for the film album under the supervision of music composer A.R Rehman.

Dhanush shared a monochrome picture of himself on Instagram amid the last shooting schedule of Atrangi Re in Delhi. Atrangi Re is going to be Dhanush's third film in Bollywood after 'Raanjhanaa' and 'Shamitabh', and would be his second outing with director Anand L Rai. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Aanand L Rai, the film written by Himanshu Sharma will have music by AR Rahman. This film is going to be Akshay Kumar's 130th film. Apart from him, Sara Ali Khan will appear in dual roles for the very first time in her career. The film is planned for Valentine's Day release on February 14, 2021.
