Sanya Malhotra, who was recently seen in Anurag Basu's Ludo is all gearing up to establish herself in the digital world. Sanya Malhotra will next be seen with Abhimanyu Dassani in an upcoming romantic- comedy film `Meenakshi Sundareshwar`. The Netflix film will mark the directorial debut of Vivek Soni, who had earlier made the 2012 short `Bawdi`.

This will also mark Abhimanyu's first digital debut after being featured in Vasan Bala's critically-acclaimed 2019 comedy-drama `Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota`. Sanya and Abhimanyu will be seen playing the titular characters of Meenakshi and Sundareshwar, a young couple in south India facing issues of long-distance and the struggles of marriage. Set in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, the film tells the couple's chaotic and hilarious story about their relationship, marriage, and love.

Sanya Malhotra took it to Instagram to share the first look from the film. While sharing the first look, she wrote," You are cordially invited to Meenakshi and Sundareshwar's wedding. Send gifts and long-distance relationship tips! #MeenakshiSundareshwar, coming soon to Netflix"

This film will be Sanya Malhotra's third collaboration with Netflix after her starring in Shakuntala Devi and Anurag Basu's Ludo. The film is backed by Karan Johar and will soon be releasing on Netflix. Meanwhile, Sanya will also be seen in Umesh Bist's comedy-drama film 'Pagglait' and is a story of a young girl who discovers her purpose and identity amidst looming questions about love and belonging in the neo-modern small-town India.

The film also stars Shruti Sharma, Ashutosh Rana and Raghubir Yadav and is all set to release on Netflix.
