Ajay Devgan has given up all his plans of running his two-year-old company. After the collapse of his entertainment portal, Devgan had plans of making the kind of films he and wife Kajol believe in.

It was Kajol`s idea. Being an avid reader, she wanted to make good use of her insight into characters. But that was not to be. Their films, Hindustan Ki Kasam and Raju Chacha, were disasters at the box office. So the Devgans are back where they belong - before the camera.Ajay is giving his all to Raj Kumar Santoshi`s Shaheed and those who have seen him perform rave about his sincerity and dedication on the sets.

But the son of fight master Veeru Devgan has another reason to rejoice - his next release, Company, proves what a waste he has been in commercial potboilers all these years. "I haven`t put in my best for this film alone. I have done it in the past too in Zakhm, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Naajayaz too," he asserts. The transformation, he adds, has nothing to do with his brush with Ram Gopal Varma. "All I am looking forward to is becoming a father some day," he says with a smile.
