Sunny took to Twitter and shared the news of being tested positive and tweeted, `मैंने कोरोना टेस्ट करवाया और रिपोर्ट पॉजिटिव आई है। मैं एकांतवास में हूं और मेरी तबीयत ठीक है। मेरा अनुरोध है कि आप में से जो भी लोग गत कुछ दिनों में मेरे संपर्क में आयें हैं, कृपया स्वयं को आइसोलेट कर अपनी जाँच करवाएं।" (I got myself tested for coronavirus and the result has come back positive. Recently, the actor made an announcement, the Deol's are coming back with the second installment of Apne film. He tweeted, "Babaji ke aashirwaad aur aapke pyaar ki wajah se aaj hum vapas ek sath nazar aayenge. Feeling blessed to get a chance to work with my father, brother again this time with my son. #Apne2, in cinemas Diwali 2021."
'Apne 2' will be helmed by Anil Sharma, who has directed the 2007 hit drama, and will be produced by Deepak Mukut. Karan, who made his debut with his father's directorial 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas' in 2019, will also be seen collaborating with his family. The film is set to release on Diwali 2021.
