Akshay Kumar to kick-start Ram Setu in Ayodhya; gets approval from UP CM!

Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in horror-comedy 'Laxmii' recently met UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Mumbai. UP CM was in Mumbai to launch a Rs 200 crore Lucknow Municipal bond at the Bombay Stock Exchange and was staying at Trident Hotel, where Akshay Kumar met him and discussed Ram Setu and proposed film city project in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from the Film City in the NCR in Uttar Pradesh and efforts suggested to make the shoots bit easier, Kumar also discussed the script of Ram Setu with the Chief Minister.

Ram Setu will be Akshay Kumar's upcoming film which is to be directed by Abhishek Sharma. `Set in today's India, it's the journey of the protagonist to discover if the Ram Setu is a myth or reality. Since, Akshay and his director Abhishek Sharma, want to present an accurate depiction of, they want to shoot in real locations in the state, including Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram. They want to kick-off the film by mid-2021 in UP", revealed a media source.

Not only Akshay, but several other Bollywood stars also met Yogi Adityanath a day later to suggest some shoot regarding procedures. Among those present were Arjun Rampal, Umesh Shukla, Satish Kaushik, Honey Trehan, Pahlaj Nihalani, Boney Kapoor, Ravi Kishan, Anand Pandit, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Anil Sharma, Vikram Kakkar and Jayantilal Gada.

Meanwhile, Ram Setu was announced by Akshay on Diwali 2020 with two posters. The actor could be seen as an explorer in the posters who seemed to be on a quest to find out if Ram Setu was a myth or a reality. Apart from this, the actor has bagged many other films including Bachchan Pandey, Atrangi Re, Raksha Bandhan and Prithviraj.
