Whenever Bollywood filmmakers release any film on patriotism or especially on the Indian army, usually they land in the deep ocean of controversies. A recent example was 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' in which the Indian Air Force has written a letter to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) objecting to certain scenes in the movie, raising an objection on portraying IAF in an undue negative light. The IAF has also raised questions on SonyLIV's web-series `Avrodh the Siege Within` for the portrayal of Indian Army personnel and the military uniform in an insulting manner. Now, the Indian Air Force has taken a new step and expressed their disappointment over Netflix's film 'AK vs AK'. As in the trailer, Anil Kapoor can be seen donning an Indian Air Force uniform and delivering inappropriate dialogues. The IAF is asking the filmmakers to withdraw these scenes from the film.

Indian Air Force official Twitter handle calls out Netflix's film 'AK vs AK' and tweeted, "The IAF uniform in this video is inaccurately donned & the language used is inappropriate. This does not conform to the behavioural norms of those in the Armed Forces of India. The related scenes need to be withdrawn. @NetflixIndia @anuragkashyap72 #AkvsAk." Check out their tweet here -

More about 'Ak Vs AK', it is a dark comedy film by Vikramaditya Motwane which is set to stream on Netflix. In the film, Anil Kapoor will portray the role of a famous actor and on the other side, Anurag will feature as a director. The film's plotline revolves around a director who went into a public spat with a movie star, and how after being disgraced, he retaliates by kidnapping the actor's daughter. Sonam Kapoor will play the role of Anil's daughter in the film. The film will be released on December 24, Netflix.
