During the nationwide lockdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Sonu Sood helped thousands of stranded Indian migrant workers to reach their homes by arranging buses, special trains and chartered flights for them. From there, the actor gained immense popularity and also launched a website and app called Pravasi Rojgar to help migrant workers find suitable jobs amid the pandemic.
On the work front, he was last seen in Rohit Shetty's cop universe 'Simmba' as Durva Ranade. On the other side, Sonu Sood will join the star cast of Chandraprakash Dwivedi's historical period-drama film, 'Prithviraj' alongside Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar.
