In an interview to a film magazine, actress Amisha Patel had hit out at choreographer Ganesh Hegde reportedly accusing him for sabotaging her act at a recent award function. "I`ll never work with Ganesh Hegde again," she declared. While Ganesh Hegde claimed. "Amisha is not upset with me but with the film industry for not having given her due as an actress. I have been used as a scapegoat so that she can give vent to her frustrations. Actually it was Kareena who was to the act at the award function.
But she backed out at the last minute. Amisha was roped-in in her place. When I learnt of it, I made it clear to her that I would not be able to choreograph her act. With the way I work, I need at least 15-20 days to choreograph a song and here we had only four days and it was just impossible for me to do it. Now Amisha is saying that she refused to do the act on stage with my group of dancers so that she could be different. Please!!"Continuing in the same vein, Hegde adds, "I have been choreographing that particular award function for the past ten years now. My experience has taught me that despite rehearsals done way in advance, problems crop up at the last moment. During the Akshay-Bipasha number the stage became absolutely smoky, more than what was required. Even Urmila Matondkar`s act got goofed-up. And so did Raveena Tandon`s.
Unfortunately when Amisha was on stage performing her act, some hooligans broke down the beta. They had just barged in by breaking down the barricade backstage. These things happen! It is a part and parcel of all event functions. So how can Amisha Patel claim that we attempted to sabotage her act?" Ganesh Hegde also points out that Amisha`s bitterness could also be stemming from the fact that she was unceremoniously dropped from the Hrithik Roshan world tour show. Karisma and Kareena were taken on in her place. He adds, "She was even rude to the promoters of the show -the Moranis.
" Ask Ganesh if a patch-up with the star was possible in the near future he said that Amisha had agreed to do a show with him for Popcorn Entertainment but backed out at the last minute.
