Bollywood films are usually inspired by foreign cinema whether it is South Korean films or Hollywood. But with the passage of time and keeping the audience's taste in mind, several B-town filmmakers have started remaking South Indian films too. Well, one more film has been added to the list of remake as recently Mansi Bagla announced a hit Malayalam film 'Forensic' remake which was released in 2020. In the lead role, the filmmaker has cast Vikrant Massey in the protagonist role. In the remake, Vikrant will portray the role of a meticulous forensic officer which was originally played by Tovino Thomas.

Originally helmed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan, the film will revolve around a psychotic murderer, who set out on a killing spree, and a medico-legal advisor uses his forensic skills to unravel the truth behind the heinous deeds. The Malayalam film was also co-written by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan.

As per the reports, Mansi Bagla wants to make a film on this subject where the main protagonist is a forensic expert, unlike other Bollywood films where a policeman solves the mystery case. Vikrant is also excited about the project and looking forward to kick-off the film shoot. The actor has gained immense popularity with several web-series and films which were released this year. Whether it is Cargo or Mirzapur or Criminal Justice and more on the list, the actor has proved himself on the acting front.

More details about the project are still not disclosed by the makers but it has been speculated that along with Vikrant Massey, South star Vijay Sethupathi will also play an important role in the film but still nothing has been officially confirmed on the same. As earlier the actor was all set to mark his Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan's film Laal Singh Chaddha but things didn't work and he opted out of the project. Well, The remake is confirmed and now we have to wait for the official announcement on the film starcast.
