Shahid Kapoor was shooting for his upcoming sports drama film 'Jersey' in Chandigarh and Mohali. Now, the actor has wrapped up the shoot and penned an emotional note on his best filmmaking experience on social media. He also talked about the experience of shooting in the pandemic for 47 days and spoke about the film's story and compares it with the rising of a phoenix from the ashes. Jersey is Shahid Kapoor's dream project and he has invested one year for the film and on wrapping up the patchwork along with him, his wife Mira Rajput has also shared some mutual feelings.

Shahid Kapoor shared a picture of himself in a stadium and wrote, "It's a film wrap on #jersey .... 47 days of shoot during covid. Just unbelievable. I am so proud of the entire team. It's nothing short of a miracle. I want to thank each and every one from the unit for coming to set every day, putting themselves at risk and doing what we all love doing. Telling stories that touch hearts and make a difference. Jersey is a story that speaks of a Phoenix rising from the ashes. The triumph of an indomitable spirit. If there was ever a time I could connect with the underlying spirit of a film this was it. As we all fight through this pandemic. Let's always remember. This shall pass too. She shared a picture of a cake shaped of Bat and bowl on a pitch and wrote, "Congratulations team Jersey, Team, dedication and determination." Well, Jersey is a remake of the Telugu sports drama film written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and he has also directed the Hindi version. In the film, Shahid will feature opposite Mrunal Thakur. Most of the shooting part is held in Uttrakhand and the rest of it is shot in Chandigarh and some part of Mohali. More about Jersey synopsis then the film revolves around a guy Arjun who is talented but a failed cricketer. He decides to return to cricket in his late thirties driven by the desire to represent the Indian cricket team and fulfill his son's wish for a jersey as a gift. The film will release in 2021.
