Pankaj Tripathi is a renowned name in Bollywood who earned fame through his top-notch performance in several web-series and films. Although, the actor debuted with a minor role in 'Run' and 'Omkara' but got a breakthrough in 2012 for his antagonistic role in the 'Gangs of Wasseypur' film series. Now, the actor has teamed up with Salman Khan for the next drama venture 'Kaagaz' in which he will portray the role of Lal Bihari, a farmer who is declared dead in the Government records. Pankaj Tripathi announced the film's release date on social media.

Kaagaz Indian biographical drama film written and directed by Satish Kaushik and produced by Salman Khan and Nishant Kaushik under the banner of Salman Khan Films and The Satish Kaushik Entertainment Production. The film stars Pankaj Tripathi and Monal Gajjar with Amar Upadhyay who plays the main antagonist. Film production was nearly complete before being put on hold by the COVID-19 pandemic and now it will premiere on 7 January 2021 on ZEE5 and will also release in some selected cinema halls, Uttar Pradesh.
