The notice has been sent in connection with a party video that the filmmaker hosted in July 2019 that featured many Bollywood stars. The video went viral raising questions about some powdered substance that was being seen in the video. The agency has been seeking the consumption of drugs and it's spread in the Hindi film industry. All this comes after Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa filed a complaint with the NCB alleging consumption of drugs at his party.
Reportedly, the NCB has issued summons the filmmaker to check the video in regard to the drug's consumption under section 67(B) of the NDPS Act. 67(B). It is also being said that Karan does not need to mark his physical appearance but will have to co-operate with the investigating agency in explaining the viral video.
Well, Karan Johar is not the only one to get summoned by the NCB, top Bollywood celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, and Arjun Rampal were earlier summoned by NCB.
