The renowned actress Seema Pahwa, known for playing the supporting Actress for the films Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Bala is coming up with her first directorial venture 'Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi'. Backed by Jio Studios and Drishyam Films, the film was earlier set for the theatrical release on November 22, but amid the pandemic, the film got halted and now, the makers are releasing it in cinema halls on January 1, 2021. The film stars an ensemble cast of Konkona Sen Sharma, Parambrata Chatterjee, Vinay Pathak, Naseeruddin Shah, Supriya Pathak, Vikrant Massey, Manoj Pahwa and others.

Jio Studios has dropped the film trailer and the plotline revolves around the death of a family member Ramprasad and how his entire family gathers for 13 days after his death, to perform and observe the Hindu rituals called the Tehrvi. Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi is a family drama film directed by Seema Pahwa and produced by Jio Studios and Drishyam Films. The film also features Vineet Kumar in the pivotal role along with Seem's husband Manoj Pahwa. The film premiered at the Mumbai Film Festival on 17 October 2019 and now scheduled to release theatrically on 1 January 2021.
