In the first edition of Filmfare OTT Awards, Jaideep Ahlawat, Manoj Bajpayee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui won the best actor trophies for their top-notch performances. Jaideep Ahlawat won the Best Actor in a Drama Series (Male) trophy for his performance in 'Paatal Lok', on the other side, Manoj Bajpayee wins Best Actor in a Drama Series (Critics) for The Family Man. Whereas, Nawazuddin Siddiqui won the Best Actor trophy for his performance in 'Raat Akeli Hai' film. After their massive swipe out, the entire social media was trending with actors' win at the award show as Manoj, Jaideep and Nawazuddin have worked together in Anurag Kashyap's crime-drama 'Gangs of Wasseypur'.

Anurag Kashyap congratulated the actors in his own way by sharing a fan tweet which mentioned, "Just realised. All the 3 generations- Dada, Baap and Beta of the Wasseypur family lifted a best actor trophy at the #FlyxFilmfareOTTAwards yersterday. Sabka Badla Le Liya Gaya!" Talking about the Gangs of Wasseypur, Jaideep Ahlawat played the character of Shahid Khan who was the father of Sardar Khan (Manoj Bajpayee) and Nawaz portrayed the role of Faizal Khan, the second son of Sardar Khan.
