'Baahubali: Before the Beginning' was the third Netflix original series announced from India after the crime thriller Sacred Games and horror miniseries Ghoul. Being one of the most-anticipated series for the streaming giant, Netflix is in no mood to take any risk with the epic show.
The streaming giant has now brought a new creative team on board for the same. For now, the series is in the pre-production stage and will resume its shooting in April or May 2021.
There is no official confirmation about the team but one thing is confirmed that the show is very much on. So we have to wait for their official announcement on the floating rumors.
More about the show, the highly-anticipated series will follow Sivagami's journey of being a resentful girl into a wise and strong queen of Mahishmati. The plotline will revolve around the same timeline when the kingdom of Mahishmati rises from being a city-state to an influential empire.
'Baahubali: Before the Beginning' is an upcoming Indian web television series based on Anand Neelakantan's 2017 novel 'The Rise of Sivagami'. The series will be produced by S. S. Rajamouli and Arka Media Works. The first season will consist of nine episodes and acts as a prequel to 'Baahubali: The Beginning', following the journey of Sivagami's rise to power in the Mahishmati kingdom.
