As per ANI reports, an idol of Sonu Sood has been installed in the village in the presence of a sculptor and residents. The local women participated by dressing up in traditional attire and honoured the actor by performing arti and also sang folk songs. "As he has attained the place of God by his good deeds, we have built a temple for Sonu Sood. He is a God for us," Giri Kondal Reddy, a Zilla Parishad member, told ANI.
Ramesh Kumar, one of the members who planned to build the temple, said, "The way Sonu Sood has been helping people since the lockdown due to the pandemic has not just been recognised by India but the world. He received the SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award by the United Nations. So, on behalf of our village, we decided to build a temple for him. Like Gods, prayers will be offered to Sonu Sood too,"
Sonu Sood got overwhelmed with all the honour he received and shared his feelings via a tweet. Sharing the pictures of his idol, Sonu tweeted, "Don't deserve this sir. Humbled🙏"

All this came after Sonu Sood helped the people across the country amid the lockdown in the country. From helping migrants reaching their homes to help students with their higher education, the actor has earned it all. He has made sure to help as many people as he can in the country who are in need. Sood has also been honoured by SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
