The Coronavirus pandemic has made an optimistic impact on the global OTT market growth. Within the last nine months, several B-town A-lister stars have been attracted to digital platforms. Along with makers, actors are also not hesitating in releasing their films on the streaming giants. Stars like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan are debuting on the digital platforms. Shahid Kapoor is also all set to mark his debut with an action-packed web-series for Amazon Prime. Raj & DK directorial series will star South star Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika Mohanan alongside Shahid.

As per the reports, the action-series is titled 'Gavar' and going to be a two seasons show. The star cast will kick-off the shoot in January 2021 in Goa and Mumbai locations, and will try to wrap up the shooting schedule by June month.

For this Raj & DK venture, Shahid Kapoor opted out from Shashank Khaitan's 'Yoddha' as the actor wants to focus on one project at a time. That is why he didn't sign any new project while shooting for Jersey. Recently, Shahid wrapped up the sports drama Jersey.

On the work front, Shahid will next feature in Gowtam Tinnanuri's sports drama 'Jersey' opposite Mrunal Thakur, which is an official remake of a Telugu film with the same name. Talking about Vijay Sethupathi, after a lot of speculations were floating about his Hindi debut project and finally, the actor will be seen in 'Gavar'. Well, fans are excited to watch these two stars together in the series.
