The entire Bollywood was talking about Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's engagement when they both took off to Rajasthan along with their families and friends. It was reported that the couple will engage on new year's eve but now Ranbir Kapoor's uncle Randhir Kapoor cleared the rumors and said that they are not getting engaged and gone there to enjoy their holiday.

`It is not true. If Ranbir and Alia were to get engaged today, my family and I would have also been there with them. Ranbir, Alia and Neetu have gone there for holidays and to bring in the new year. The news of their engagement is incorrect," Randhir told to Indian Express. Well, the love birds fans might feel disappointed after hearing the news. For now, we can only hope that til next year they both tie the wedding knot.

In an interview with Rajeev Masand, Ranbir Kapoor told him, `Well, I think it (the wedding) would have already been sealed had the pandemic not hit our lives. But I don't want to jinx it by saying anything. I am going to tick mark that goal very soon in my life."

Along with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Ayan Mukerji, Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Mahesh Bhatt have also joined them. Recently, Ranbir's mother Neetu also shared some pictures on social media featuring Ranbir, Ranveer and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
