Aanand L Rai, one of the popular filmmakers in the Hindi film industry who resumed the shoot of his upcoming film Atrangi Re amid the shoot, has now tested positive for coronavirus. The director had recently wrapped the Delhi schedule with Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar who will be seen playing leading roles in the romantic drama film.

Aanand L Rai took it to Instagram to announce the news of his being COVID positive as he shared a long note for his fans. Telling that he has quarantined himself and feels no symptoms, Aanand wrote, "I HAVE TESTED COVID POSITIVE TODAY. JUST WANTED TO INFORM EVERYONE THAT I DON'T FEEL ANY SYMPTOMS & I FEEL FINE. I'M QUARANTINING AS INSTRUCTED BY AUTHORITIES. ANYONE WHO HAS COME IN CONTACT WITH ME RECENTLY IS ADVISED TO QUARANTINE & FOLLOW D GOVT PROTOCOLS. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORT AND BLESSINGS."

Atrangi Re is a romantic-comedy film that stars Sara Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar and Dhanush in lead roles. Reportedly, Sara will be playing a double role in the film. Atrangi Re is being shot in different cities of North India. The film will reportedly release in 2021.
