For him, picture-perfect backdrops at exotic locations or larger than life film sets are the soul of his directorial ventures. For now, he is focusing on his next project, 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' starring Alia Bhatt in the titular role. The actress will soon wrap up the film and after that Sanjay has decided to move towards the OTT content. As the director has faced several backlashes for his film's plot-line, but the digital platform has become such a blissful place for creative makers where they are introducing some over the top content and audiences are also praising and watching such projects.

In order to explore the platform, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has decided to mark his directorial debut with a historical period drama project featuring Richa Chadha in the lead role. Earlier it was stated that Sanjay has decided to present his dream project, Heera Mandi on the digital platform but nothing has been confirmed on the same.

Reports were also floated in the tinsel town that Sanjay is supposed to cast Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles. But neither Sanjay nor any of the actress has confirmed the same news.

More about Richa Chadha starrer project, if rumors are true then this project is going to be her second project with Sanjay Leela Bhansali as earlier he directed her in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013). Well, now we have to wait and watch whether the speculations are true or not.
