From cricket ground to film sets, several cricketers tried their skills in the acting genre, and now, Irfan Pathan is all set to mark his debut in the film industry. Well, Tamil director R. Ajay Gnanamuthu signs him his action flick, 'Cobra' along with superstar Vikram. The film was announced in September 2019 and in October 2020, the makers released the first poster of Irfan Pathan with his character introduction as Aslan Yilmaz.
Recently, Sony Music South released the teaser of Cobra, in which Vikram portrays the character of Cobra who is a genius mathematician and can easily solve impossible crimes using maths. On the other side, Irfan Pathan will be seen in the role of a French Interpol officer who challenges Cobra. Irfan Pathan looks dashing and prominent in the trailer. Check out the film teaser here -

Cobra is a Tamil action thriller film directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu, and produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar under the banner Seven Screen Studios, starring Vikram, Srinidhi Shetty, Miya and Irfan Pathan. This film marks the Tamil debut of Srinidhi Shetty and the film debut of Irfan Pathan. The music and original score is composed by A. R. Rahman. Earlier the film was expected to release in 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it gets delayed.
