'Chanda Mama Door Ke' was Sushant Singh Rajput's dream project but due to budget restraints, the project never went to finished mode. The film was touted to be India's first space movie starring Sushant Singh Rajput, R Mahadevan, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles. At that time, actors began preparing for their parts as astronauts and were often used to share pictures on social media.

Even Sushant Singh Rajput went to NASA to get trained and commence preparations for the film. Sadly, the late actor's dream project remains a dream till his death but now as per the reports, director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan is all set to revive his shelved project.

As per the earlier revealed film's plotline, it will trace the journey of India's space program and culminates with India's first astronaut landing on the moon. Talking about the film, director Sanjay said that he hasn't shelved the project yet and will soon work on it. But as it hasn't been a year since Sushant's death, Sanjay will take time to revive the project.

Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan hasn't finalized any actor yet who will helm Sushant's role but for now, he has a set marked vision for the film. Back in time, the maker was supposed to release the film in 2018 but things didn't turn well as per the planned plan. More about Sushant Singh Rajput, Dil Bechara remains his last film which premiered on Disney plus Hotstar in July 2020. The film was critically acclaimed by the critics and loved by the fans. Hope Sanjay Puran Singh will soon bring the sci-fi film 'Chanda Mama Door Ke' on the floors and fulfill the late actor's dream.
