Recently, Siddhant Chaturvedi treated his fans to an 'Ask me a question' session on Instagram, where a user asked, `When is Bunty and Babli is coming out!!??" On which Sid shared a clipart of himself quoted with the song Kajra Re Kajra Re Tere Kare Kare Naina' and also wrote, 'In theatres only, Soon.' More about the film, Bunty Aur Babli 2 is a crime comedy film directed by debutant Varun V. Sharma and serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2005 film Bunty Aur Babli. The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi and debutante Sharvari Wagh in the lead roles. Although, in the first film, Abhishek Bachchan played the lead role alongside Rani but for the second installment, the actor was replaced by Saif Ali Khan.

The film was announced on December 17, 2019, and was scheduled for theatrical release on June 26, 2020. Although, the release has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and some patchwork was also halted due to the same reason. When situations stabilized, the star cast wrapped up the remaining film schedule in September 2020. The film is expected to release in the mid or end of 2021.
