No coercive action: Bombay High court orders Bandra police not to summon the Ranaut sisters till January 25!
In November, the High court granted protection to Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli from any coercive action and arrest. As several legal cases have been registered against the Ranaut sisters in 2020. A few days back, Kangana and Rangoli reached Bandra police station in Mumbai for the hearing of a sedition case filed against them. She was questioned by the Bandra police officials for two hours regarding 100 tweets that she tweeted in the past few months. But on Monday, the Bombay High court continued its interim protection till January 25 from any coercive action in the case over her tweets.

The High court also directed Mumbai police not to summon the Ranaut sisters for questioning till the next hearing which falls on January 25, 2021.

Well, Munawwar Ali Sayyed, a Bollywood casting director, a petitioner who petitioned in the court, alleged that the actress is creating 'a communal divide between people of two communities and in the mind of common man' via her tweets on Twitter. After that Ranaut's advocate, Rizwan Siddiquee sought time to file a reply to their petition. The court gave him time till January 25.

But on January 8, she was called by the Bandra police along with her sister and was grilled for two hours by the officials. Even after the interrogation, she was informed that anytime soon she will again be called for further questioning.

Public prosecutor Deepak Thakare requested the court that they need 3 more days to interrogate the Ranaut sisters but the court has finally given their verdict on the matter. On which Justice Shinde asked the Bandra police officials not to call the Ranaut sisters and utilize this time for some other cases and made it clear that no further questioning will be executed by the police in the matter.

For now, Kangana Ranaut is in Madhya Pradesh for the shooting of her next action flick, 'Dhaakad'.
