Director, Producer, Actor, Fashion Guru, Writer, Philanthropist, there is no hat that Mozez Singh cannot carry off with aplomb. Singh has now lent his name to a credible cause called Dharavi Diary, an NGO working to raise funds for the poor of one of the largest slums in Asia, Dharavi. Mozez took to his Instagram to make a plea by stating that, "As you all know, Dharavi is the largest slum in Asia and it has been hit by the second wave of the pandemic in the most horrific manner. People living there are dealing with the most emotional, physical and mental strains that are humanly possible. It is upto us to do something to help them, to support them to make their lives better. Dharavi Diaries is an amazing NGO that supports the young kids of the slum. www.https://www.dharavidiary.org/ is their website and I request you all to go on it and do whatever little or whatever much you can, in terms of food, medical kits, and education. India needs you and India is in your heart. Thank you so much."
As we all know, The second wave of Covid-19 has been worse. As social distancing is a luxury and with the number of Covid cases growing every day the only real possibility of ensuring people stay home is if they have enough ration and don't have to step out to procure basic provisions. If the spread of the virus is not contained or slowed down in these densely populated areas, there is every possibility that this will become the virus's most lethal attack. Relief work is not happening on the ground in a proper way because of an increase in positive cases and densely populated nature of the place. Dharavi Diary requires resources as we aim to reach the goal of feeding above and beyond 1000 families. Each ration kit costs approximately Rs 1900 Rupees and helps to feed a family for one month.
