Actor - DJ - Music Producer - Host Ali Merchant is one entertainer who has donned many hats. The actor is soon making his OTT debut with a chat show; his first guest on the show being an actor with a pan-India appeal - R. Madhavan, who has done films in 7 different languages.

Ali had been away from the screen for the past 7 years with intermittent appearances and is excited about his OTT debut. Commenting on the occasion, the actor said `I am grateful that I am in a comfortable space as far as DJ-ing and music production is concerned. This allowed me some time to explore my first love - acting. The dearth of exciting roles has kept me away from TV for a long time, however, the way OTT content is shaping up in the country, engaged me and when I got an opportunity, I could not resist. It's a bigger space in terms of creativity with no restrictions, like the ones you have on television.`

The actor, who found his way into showbiz through a reality show in 2006, shares that he has performed with top international DJs in the world like DJ Snake, Edward Maya, Vini Vici, etc, and has done Indian & international tours and shared stages with artists like Guru Randhawa, Bpraak, Diljeet Dosanjh, etc.

`I always wanted to explore the entertainment space beyond the television industry. It's an altogether different experience to control the crowd and spread love as a DJ. I have been lucky that it has been an amazing journey till now. I have always been open to television and films but preferred roles that are realistic and edgy. They should suit my persona. Whenever I came across such roles on television, I lapped them up. Now with the massive rise of OTT - it has become a game-changer. The gap between Indian and International content is filling up fast. Our audiences always wanted this kind of realistic content and it's a refreshing change` said Ali as he signed off for the moment.
