Actress Jaswinder Gardner, known for her roles in various television shows and films including Kaleerein, Ishk Par Zor Nahi, Ek Deewana Tha, Chitkabrey, Rowdy Rathore, Sindoor Ki Keemat, Shiv Shakti: Tap Tyaag Taandav, and Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai, recently captivated audiences with her portrayal of Divya Ahuja in the Watcho Exclusives series State v/s Ahuja.

In the series, she plays the role of the wife of Ansh Ahuja, portrayed by Ashmit Patel, who is accused of rape by his maid. Now, the talented actress has shared insights into her experience working with Ashmit Patel, how she approached this emotionally challenging role and her connection to the character.

Talking about her working experience with Ashmit Patel, Jaswinder said, `Ashmit is a fantastic actor. There's no air around him, and it's very comfortable working with him. The chemistry happened naturally, and it's hard to explain. It felt like a give-and-take situation, so we were able to support each other mutually, and we managed to pull off the scenes very well.`

When asked about her approach to handling the emotionally demanding role, Jaswinder said, `As an actor, you get into the depth of the character. You try to understand the situation and emotions of a character, which makes it easier to bring the character to life. And this is what worked for me in State v/s Ahuja. I've tried to put my best foot forward in the series, and hope viewers will sense that when they watch the series on Watcho Exclusives.`

Revealing if she personally related to the character of Divya, Jaswinder exclaimed, `Yes! Being a wife and a mother in real life, I can understand what teenagers go through if something like this happens. I know how a child, wife, and family can be affected when challenges like this arise. I had a sense of understanding of the emotions that Divya might experience. It was challenging but also rewarding at the same time.`

State v/s Ahuja explores the life of Ansh Ahuja (played by Ashmit Patel), a Bollywood superstar whose world is turned upside down when his maid accuses him of rape. As the story unfolds, audiences are drawn into a compelling world of suspense, investigation, and courtroom drama, where unexpected twists and turns keep them engaged. The series raises a compelling question: Did Ansh really commit the alleged crime, or is there a deeper conspiracy at play? Produced by Suresh Thomas for Crescendo Films and Amicable Crew, the show features a talented ensemble cast, including Anurekha Bhagat, Sarika Singh, Swapnil Ralkar, Apeksha Verma, Drishti Patil, Manish Jaitley, Arjun Krishna, Vicky Baidyanath, and Harsh Gautam. This exclusive series is available for streaming on Watcho.
