/> Shilpa left for Paris on Monday to attend the legendary Karl Lagerfeld's party. And never mind if her cervical spondilitis has been acting up again.

Lagerfeld is regarded as one of the most influential fashion designers in the world.

"Catch me missing his party for a bad back!" she screamed while packing and getting a dozen things in place. "He's one of the best designers in the world. In any case I've to be in London's Oxford Street for my perfume in the mainstream market. So Paris is like a stopover. Who doesn't like to shop in Paris."

As far as dressing up for the Paris party was concerned Shilpa had two choices. "Manish Malhotra who's also going to be at the party had made something for me. And so had Tarun Tahiliani. I'm opting for Tarun.

The invitation came through Atul Kasbekar who's looking after my ad work. Karl Lagerfeld has so many really stunning clients from the worldover. The guest list at his parties is always an eye-popper. I'm hoping to run into some interesting people."

But Shilpa's predominant interest for the visit is Paris. "Paris is welcome anytime, anywhere. It's one city that I'd visit even without a reason."
