The creators of 'Pill' recently released a motion poster, offering a glimpse into the series' intense and shadowy world. The poster features a compelling voiceover by Riteish Deshmukh, who says, `Is desh mein kis bimaari se kitne log marte hain, uska data hai humare paas. Lekin kharaab dawai ke wajah se kitne logon ka jaan jaa raha hai, uska koi data nahi hai` (We have data on how many people die from various diseases in this country. But we have no data on how many lives are lost due to faulty medicines).
Exclusive Streaming on JioCinema
The series, set to stream exclusively on JioCinema Premium, will be available starting July 12, with its premiere slated for July 21. The promotional caption on JioCinema's Instagram read: `What's your medicine really made of? 'Pill', streaming from July 12 onwards, exclusively on JioCinema Premium.`
Upcoming Projects: 'Kakuda' and 'Raja Shivaji'
In addition to 'Pill,' Riteish Deshmukh has an exciting lineup of projects. He will star in 'Kakuda,' a horror-comedy alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Saqib Saleem. The film, set in the curse-inflicted village of Ratodi in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district, revolves around a peculiar ritual. Each house in the village has two doors-a normal-sized one and a smaller one. Every Tuesday at 7:15 p.m., the smaller door must be opened to avoid the wrath of Kakuda, who punishes the man of the house. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for 'Munjya,' 'Kakuda' promises a blend of horror and comedy in a unique setting.
Historical Epic: 'Raja Shivaji'
Riteish is also set to direct and star in the historical action drama 'Raja Shivaji.' This bilingual film depicts the journey of young Shivaji, who rebelled against mighty powers to establish Swarajya and become the revered Raja Shivaji. The epic saga will be presented in both Hindi and Marathi. Notably, the film's music will be composed by the acclaimed duo Ajay-Atul, and Santosh Sivan will make his debut in Marathi cinema as the visual storyteller for this grand narrative.
