The filmmaker also thanked the OTT platform for supporting the film "support during the toughest times perhaps any film would go through". "You guys have stood by me and the film and still stand tall," he added.
Maharaj, which marked debut of Junaid Khan, marked Malhotra's return to director's chair helming 'Hichki'. It is based on the 1862 court case known as 'The Maharaj Libel Case'.
