We told you about Amitabh Bachchan returning to the small screen to do an 85-episode spell with the game show that played catalyst in his very successful comeback. Well, it may not happen after all. What the channel is looking at is an alternate game show with the Bachchan as host.

Close associates tell us that, "There`ll mostly be a new game show and if that doesn`t work out we`ll stick to `Kaun Banega Crorepati` re-packaged." The game show will be given a face-lift and will be packaged with several new creative formats that may make it that much more interesting to the user. But the thing that matters at the end of it all is that Amitabh remains anchor, right?
