The 30-year-old actress, originally from Chandigarh, made her first appearance on screen with a small role in the 2007 Bollywood film Jab We Met, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor. Since then, she has made a mark in the Punjabi film industry, starring in movies like Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22, Ishq Brandy, Godha, Parahuna, and Nikka Zaildar 3.

Wamiqa has also gained recognition in the digital space with her roles in web series like Modern Love: Mumbai and Jubilee, as well as the film Khufiya, which is based on Amar Bhushan's espionage novel Escape to Nowhere.
