The Mumbai Police filed the case against the duo and Alt Balaji Telefilm Limited, prompting an immediate investigation. Clarification Issued by Alt Balaji Telefilm Limited
In response to the allegations and the media coverage surrounding the case, Alt Balaji Telefilm Limited issued an official statement on behalf of the company. The operational management, including the content strategy, is handled by a separate team. 'It is further clarified that Mrs. Shobha Kapoor and Ms. Ektaa R Kapoor are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the Company, and the same are managed by separate teams, including its content strategy,' the company explained. According to reports, Ekta and Shobha Kapoor were summoned by the Mumbai Police for questioning on October 22, 2024. Additional rounds of questioning are scheduled to take place on October 24, as the investigation continues. While the production house has denied any wrongdoing and emphasized their adherence to the law, the investigation by the Mumbai Police is ongoing. Both Ekta and Shobha Kapoor are cooperating with the authorities, and further developments in the case are expected in the coming days.
