A Grand Finale in the Making
The film's climax, touted as one of the most spectacular sequences ever shot for an action movie, will be filmed over 15 days in Mumbai. A source close to the production revealed:
'This is easily the biggest climax sequence shot for any action film! Two of India's biggest superstars are going to shoot a spectacular action sequence that will give goosebumps when people see the climax on the big screen.'
YRF has gone to great lengths to maintain secrecy, constructing a highly secure set to prevent any plot leaks. The source added:
'Nothing about War 2's plot line has leaked. It shows how heavily guarded everything is as YRF continues to build its Spy Universe. This is the biggest release of 2025, uniting Hrithik and NTR Jr. in a true pan-Indian spectacle.'
Star-Studded Cast and Plot
War 2 is slated for an Independence Day release on August 14, 2025. The film sees Hrithik Roshan returning as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, while NTR Jr. makes his Hindi film debut. Kiara Advani is also a part of the star-studded cast, adding further allure to the project.
As the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, War 2 continues the legacy of its predecessor, War (2019), which starred Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the first film revolved around an Indian RAW agent tasked with eliminating his rogue mentor.
