Following the success of Nikhil Taneja's 'Be A Man, Yaar!' the second episode of "Be A Parent, Yaar!" by Yuvaa is all set to offer viewers a unique and deeply personal glimpse into the remarkable relationship between Writer and Standup Comedian Aaditya Kulshreshth aka Kullu and his mother, Seema Kulshreshth, a former crime photographer with the Madhya Pradesh Police.

In this compelling episode, the mother- son duo delved into warm conversations that challenged traditional narratives about parent-child relationships, exploring topics ranging from professional journeys to mental health and personal growth. Seema Kulshreshth breaks stereotypes by sharing her experiences as a crime photographer sharing that her first crime scene assignment was during the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

Reflecting on the experience, she said, "At the age of 19, I witnessed countless dead bodies there, like a bulk of dead people'it was an entirely different world. I can't tell you what impact that scene had on me." directly confronting preconceived notions about women in law enforcement. She candidly discussed how people often struggle to reconcile her appearance with her professional role, noting that individuals frequently tell her, "You don't look like a police officer."

Aaditya aka Kullu brought his own powerful narrative to the conversation and openly discussed his experiences with mental health, particularly his journey with anxiety and depression. He shared a poignant reflection on growing up in an all-boys school, acknowledging an earlier sense of emptiness from the lack of an older male figure to guide him. Now, he feels supported by mentors like Zakir Khan and Tanmay Bhat, who have been a strong support.

The episode takes a profound turn when discussing parenting styles, with Seema revealing her nuanced approach to raising her children. She was more protective of her daughter, given the societal challenges women face, while offering Aaditya a unique sense of freedom. Her discussion extended to broader social issues, including the stigma surrounding divorce, which she confronts with remarkable openness and dignity.

Seema also shared her upcoming project - a book detailing her extraordinary journey, promising to provide deeper insights into her experiences as a crime photographer and her navigation through challenging professional landscapes. Aaditya, reflecting on his own path, discussed his unexpected journey into standup comedy.

Aaditya aka Kullu reflected on the episode: "This conversation wasn't just about sharing stories, but about understanding each other's journeys, vulnerabilities, and strengths. It's a testament to how communication can bridge generational gaps." To which, his mother Seema Kulshreshth added "Through this show, I want to share that parenting is a continuous learning process. It's about understanding, supporting, and growing together."

This episode of Vi presents "Be A Parent Yaar!" serves as a compelling example of the importance of open communication, mutual respect, and the evolving dynamics of modern families. It promises to resonate with listeners seeking genuine, unfiltered conversations about parenthood, personal growth, and familial bonds.

Expressing his excitement for the new show, Yuvaa CEO Kevin Lee said: 'At Yuvaa, we pride ourselves in starting conversations that spark conversations, and Season 2 of 'Be a parent, yaar!' has taken it a notch up by creating a unique, much needed safe space for parents and children to be their vulnerable and unfiltered selves. For a large part of our Gen Z audience, it's still tough to talk to their parents about their relationships, insecurities, aspirations and more - and our hope is that the fantastic conversations with our parent-child guests can pave the way for every young Indian to try to open up to their parents. We're also thrilled to have a partner like Vi (Vodafone Idea) join us on this mission to make the world a little less lonely and a lot more connected.'

The hugely popular chat show 'Be A Man, Yaar!' hosted by Nikhil Taneja, which has captivated audiences over two successful seasons, now paves the way for its exciting new spin-off: Vi Presents, 'Be A Parent, Yaar!'
