Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently celebrated his wife Twinkle Khanna's achievement as an author, referring to her as his 'trophy wife' with a playful twist. Twinkle was honored with the Crossword Popular Choice Award for her latest book, Welcome to Paradise.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Akshay shared a picture of Twinkle holding her award. He captioned it: 'My trophy wife'literally. But she earns her own accolades. So proud of my Crossword Popular Choice Award Winner.'



Twinkle Khanna's Welcome to Paradise is her fourth book, comprising five short stories, each centered around a female protagonist. The book has garnered widespread acclaim for its compelling narratives and empowering themes.

In November, Akshay had expressed his admiration for Twinkle, calling himself a 'proud husband.' He had urged his followers to vote for her book after it was shortlisted for the Crossword Books Award in the fiction category.

He wrote on Instagram: 'Proud husband alert! My brilliant wife's Welcome to Paradise has been shortlisted for the Crossword Books Award in the fiction category. If you like her work, now's the time to show some love and cast a vote.'

On the professional front, Akshay Kumar was last seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, the third installment of the blockbuster Singham franchise.
