The iconic Kapoor family, often referred to as the first family of Hindi cinema, gathered in Delhi to honor the centenary of the legendary filmmaker-actor Raj Kapoor. Among those present were Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Karisma Kapoor.

In a significant moment, the family met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and personally invited him to attend the centenary celebrations. Earlier in the day, the Kapoors were spotted at Mumbai airport en route to Delhi, showcasing their elegant fashion sense.

Ranbir Kapoor donned a classic black Jodhpuri suit, while Alia Bhatt complemented Kareena Kapoor Khan, wearing a radiant red saree as Kareena opted for a red and silver suit. Saif Ali Khan stood out in a white kurta-pyjama paired with a beige jacket and red shoes. Neetu Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor twinned in stunning white and gold ensembles.

December 14, 2024, marks 100 years since Raj Kapoor's birth. Born in Peshawar, he was the eldest son of Prithviraj Kapoor and became a defining figure in Indian cinema. His works, such as Awaara and Boot Polish, earned international acclaim, competing for the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 1951 and 1955.

Honored with India's prestigious Padma Bhushan in 1971 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1988, Raj Kapoor's legacy is celebrated globally, with immense popularity in the Soviet Union, where he was fondly called "Comrade Awaara."
