The romantic comedy, directed by Maneesh Sharma, saw Ranveer star opposite actress Anushka Sharma. The duo played Shruti Kakkar and Bittoo Sharma, two aspiring wedding planners who build a successful business while navigating their evolving relationship. The film was not only a box office success but also a critical hit, catapulting Ranveer into the limelight.

The film's popularity inspired a Tamil remake, Aaha Kalyanam, featuring Nani and Vaani Kapoor, which hit the screens in 2014.
