As Makar Sankranti approaches, it brings with it the warmth of togetherness, the joy of cherished traditions, and the promise of fresh beginnings. Celebrated with fervor across the country, this harvest festival holds a special place in our hearts as it is a time to express gratitude, embrace cultural roots, and create lasting memories. Amidst their busy schedules, the talented artists from Sony SAB, Garima Parihar, Prachi Bansal, Aditya Redij, and Krishna Bharadwaj take a moment to reflect on what makes this festival truly special for them.

Garima Parihar, who essays the role of Deepti in Pushpa Impossible says, 'Makar Sankranti is the first holiday of the year in our country, and with it comes the chance to welcome the new year with good energy and great favour. On this day, I usually donate food and other essentials, helping people prepare and enjoy their meals. When I'm not shooting, I love the thrill of flying kites, whether with friends or joining groups I come across'it's such an exhilarating and fun-filled experience! The warmth of til-gud and the joy of spending time with loved ones remind us to cherish the simple pleasures in life and to spread sweetness and kindness wherever we go."

Aditya Redij, who essays the role of King Krishnadevaraya in Tenali Rama says- 'Makar Sankranti is a special festival in our culture, symbolizing gratitude and fresh starts. As an actor, life is often busy, but I try to follow some traditions whenever I can. I remember watching my elders bathe before sunrise, a practice that keeps me connected to my roots. Now, as a father, I want to slowly introduce these traditions to my son. Even though he's too young to understand, I hope small moments like flying kites or sharing Tilgud will help him appreciate our culture as he grows. Festivals like Sankranti are about bonding, sharing, and creating lasting memories. No matter how busy life gets, they remind us to take a pause and celebrate our heritage.'

Krishna Bharadwaj, who essays the role of Tenali in Tenali Rama says- 'Makar Sankranti is such a beautiful reminder of our rich traditions and cultural roots. Growing up, Makar Sankranti was all about flying kites, and it filled me with joy. But now, as I've grown, I've realized that it's important to be mindful of our feathered friends, so I prefer not to fly kites anymore. Instead, I cherish the small, intimate get-togethers with my loved ones, where we indulge in sweets, share laughter, and celebrate the spirit of togetherness. It's about finding joy in the simple moments and creating memories that last"

Prachi Bansal, who essays the role of Sita in Shrimad Ramayan says - "As Makar Sankranti draws near, I am reminded of the warmth and togetherness it brings, much like the bond Sita shares with Lord Ram. For me, it's a time to reflect and recharge, spending quality time with family and friends. This year, I plan to embrace the festive spirit with kite flying, traditional sweets, and gratitude for the journey ahead."
