Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om has become a much sought after film.
Baba Films, production and distribution company, has offered a record Rs 11 crore for the rights to the
Mumbai Circuit, easily surpassing the highest amount ever paid for the territory of Rs 8.5 crore for
Jaan-E-Mann.
SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment has reportedly sold the world rights for the film to Eros International for
between Rs 72-75 crore.
Explaining their readiness to shell out the big bucks for the film, Baba Films executive director, Rakesh
Upadhyay, says, "The film is releasing during the Diwali period when we can get a clear run due to vacations.
Farah Khan had earlier had a huge commercial success with Main Hoon Na. We are confident of the film's
success at the box-office."
