Bollywood’s favorite comedy franchise is back in action! Ajay Devgn took to Instagram to share an exciting update on ‘Dhamaal 4’, announcing the wrap of its first shooting schedule in Malshej Ghat, Maharashtra — and fans couldn’t be happier.

“The madness is BACK! #Dhamaal4 kicks off with a bang — Malshej Ghat schedule wrapped, Mumbai schedule rolling! Let the laughter riot begin!” Devgn wrote, sharing a fun-filled behind-the-scenes image featuring Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaffery, Sanjay Mishra, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, and Sanjeeda Shaikh.

‘Dhamaal 4’ Kicks Off With Familiar Faces and New Energy

Directed by Indra Kumar, the film sees the return of fan-favorite actors Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Jaaved Jaffery, whose comic timing has become synonymous with the Dhamaal brand. Joining them are talented new additions like Anjali Anand and Sanjeeda Shaikh, promising a fresh dynamic to the hilarious chaos.

The first leg of the film was shot amidst the stunning landscapes of Malshej Ghat, while the second schedule has already begun in Mumbai.

The Legacy of the ‘Dhamaal’ Franchise

Launched in 2007, the Dhamaal franchise has carved out a special place in the hearts of comedy lovers across generations. Inspired by the classic It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), the original film starred Sanjay Dutt, Aashish Chaudhary, and a host of comedic legends.

The film went on to spawn two successful sequels:

Double Dhamaal (2011)

Total Dhamaal (2019)

- which took the franchise into a bigger, more adventure-driven territory.

Total Dhamaal even borrowed elements from the Hollywood films Vacation (2015) and Blended (2014), blending slapstick with sentiment.

Who’s Behind the Madness This Time?

‘Dhamaal 4’ is being directed by Indra Kumar and produced by a powerhouse lineup that includes:

Ajay Devgn

Bhushan Kumar

Krishan Kumar

Ashok Thakeria

Indra Kumar

Anand Pandit

Kumar Mangat Pathak

The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in association with Devgn Films, under the banners of T-Series Films, Maruti International, and Panorama Studios.

What’s Next for Ajay Devgn?

Apart from ‘Dhamaal 4’, Ajay Devgn is also gearing up for the release of ‘Raid 2’, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 thriller Raid. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar. Raid 2 will hit theatres on May 1, 2025.
