Q: What is your charitable organization all about?
A: It is called Being Human. Salman wanted to start something like this for a long time now, but he had been keeping busy. Now things have slowed down for him and thus, he can give more time to Salman Khan Foundation.
Q: What was the reason behind screening of Partner for underprivileged children? Will Salman Khan Foundation work exclusively for children?
A: No. Actually, when I saw the film I thought that it was made for children. So, we decided to screen it for underprivileged kids.
Q: Will there be such screenings in other parts of the country as well?
A: As I told you, this was a last-minute emotional decision. There was no such strategy behind the screening. Salman Khan Foundation is just a month old and this is the first event we had. Let us see where we can take it from here.
Q: Salman, Govinda and David Dhavan have come together in Partner. Have you planned any other film with the trio?
A: Yes, we are thinking of a concept like 'Tom and Jerry'. Nothing has been finalized yet. But this film too will be directed by David Dhawan.
Q: What are your expectations of Partner?
A: I hope for the best. We have worked hard for the film, and it is a total family entertainer. But only Friday will tell what's in store.
Q: When are we going to see you three brothers together on screen?
A: Amar Akbar Anthony will be going on floors by early next year, so there is still some time.
Q: What are your upcoming ventures as an actor?
A: I have Hello and Mera Bharat Mahan lined up.
Q: What do enjoy more, acting or producing?
A: If it's a film like Partner, definitely producing.
Q: How do you manage both?
A: Actually, my production house has an efficient team that can work in my absence. So at present, I do not have to give it so much time. I just need to take a decision and they execute it. I am concentrating on acting now as I am not happy with whatever work I have done so far. Now, I have more choices and options.
Q: Why do you keep making comedy films?
A: I enjoy making comedy. I think that they are the best entertainers and I want to specialize in that genre. To make a serious film, I will have to show violence and crime. I do not wish to get into all that.
Q: Will Partner get you money?
A: Partner is an economically safe film. I would say it is a big movie made with a medium budget. There have been many films in the past which have done extremely well, but because there were so expensive, by the time the costs were recovered, critics labeled them as flops. This won't be the case with Partner.
Q: Has the IIFA performance of Salman and Govinda been included in the film?
A: Yes, it has been used in the roll-over.
