F1 R The Movie Fan-First Premiere Screenings Expanded, and General Tickets Go on Sale Tomorrow!

Due to overwhelming demand and sold-out screenings in 25 markets, Warner Bros. Pictures and IMAX are expanding their Fan-First Premiere Screenings of Apple Original Films' F1 The Movie to 400 IMAX houses worldwide.

Fans can experience this summer's event film for one night only on June 23, 2025, days before its international launch on June 25, 2025, and US release on June 27, 2025.

Tickets for these Fan-First Premiere Screenings in IMAX go on sale tomorrow, May 21, 2025, at 9 am PT/5 pm BST. General sale tickets for all available showtimes when the film lands in theaters later that week will also be available tomorrow, May 21, 2025, at 9 am PT/5 pm BST. Check local listings for showtimes from June 25, 2025, and beyond.

F1 The Movie, an Apple Original Film from the filmmakers behind Top Gun: Maverick, is a high-octane, action-packed feature film starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski. The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, seven-time FORMULA 1® world champion Lewis Hamilton, Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Chad Oman.

The plot revolves around Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), a promising FORMULA 1® phenom of the 1990s whose career was nearly ended by an accident. Thirty years later, as a nomadic racer-for-hire, he is approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), owner of a struggling FORMULA 1® team on the verge of collapse. Ruben convinces Sonny to return to FORMULA 1® for one last shot at saving the team and becoming the best in the world. He will drive alongside Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), the team's hotshot rookie. As the engines roar, Sonny's past catches up to him, and he discovers that in FORMULA 1®, his teammate is his fiercest competition, and the path to redemption is not a journey he can undertake alone.

F1 The Movie also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem. The movie was filmed during actual Grand Prix weekends, with the team competing against the sport's titans. Kosinski directs from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, with a story by Kosinski & Kruger. Daniel Lupi executive produced the film. Kosinski's creative team, including director of photography Claudio Miranda, production designers Mark Tildesley and Ben Munro, editor Stephen Mirrione, costume designer Julian Day, casting director Lucy Bevan, and composer Hans Zimmer, collaborated behind the scenes.
