Amazon’s free streaming service, Amazon MX Player, serves up a heady mix of hustle, heartbreak, and high-stakes ambition in its latest original series, Pyar, Paisa and Profit. Adapted from Durjoy Dutta’s best-selling novel, Now That You’re Rich, Let’s Fall in Love, the 20-episode series is already making waves for its refreshing narrative and emotionally grounded storytelling. Directed by Prashant Singh, it follows the turbulent lives of four young professionals, Abhijeet, Saurabh, Shruti and Garima, navigating the cutthroat world of Mumbai’s venture capital scene. Blending youthful energy with raw emotions, Pyar, Paisa, and Profit is brought to life by a talented ensemble cast, including Mihir Ahuja, RJ Mahvash, Pratik Yadav, Shivangi Khedkar, Nitish Sharma, and Naman Upadhyaya, who bring authenticity to characters you’ll love, hate, and root for all at once.

Mihir Ahuja, who headlines the cast as an ambitious Abhijeet, reflects on how the series portrays the complexities of ambition and relationships in the corporate world, sharing, “What I really appreciated about the story was how it doesn’t just focus on the corporate world, it also delves into each characters’ personal lives, their relationships, dreams, and the choices they make along their journey. Additionally, the show doesn’t glorify hustle culture or villainise it. It simply holds up a mirror. Durjoy and Sumrit have done such a thoughtful job of showing both sides of ambition: the drive that pushes you to do better, and the darker side, where ambition can lead you down the wrong path. By the end of it, you’re left asking yourself, what am I willing to trade for success?”

Sharing his views on the portrayal of relationships in the series, Mihir added, “No matter what career you choose, every relationship has its share of ups and downs. You’re juggling deadlines with heartbreak, promotions with personal loss. The show perfectly highlights how important it is to be emotionally present, to trust your partner, and to make time for each other. I think that’s what makes it relatable. These are challenges we all face, whether we’re chasing success in our jobs or trying to hold on to the people we love.”

Pyar, Paisa, Profit is now available to stream for free exclusively on Amazon MX Player, available through its apps on mobile, Amazon’s shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Connected TVs.
