First Copy, which is rooted in nostalgia and directed with flair, tells the story of Arif, a Byculla boy with big dreams and bigger risks, who rises from petty crime to become the head of India's bootleg film industry. His world is rushing towards a dramatic conclusion as he tangles with dishonest officials, betrayed loyalties, Bollywood egos, and a tumultuous romance.
