After buying the rights of Subhash Ghai's hit film "Karz" from Mukta Arts Ltd, T series apparently approached the director to remake it.

But Ghai declined saying: "How can I remake my own script when I am full of new ideas and concepts time ahead?"

However, Ghai believes today's youth will welcome "Karz" if it is given a new touch. The movie, with singer-actor Himesh Reshammiya in the lead, is scheduled for release in August next year.
